Veteran Los Angeles photographer Eileen Cowin presents selections from Mad Love and Kafka's Diary at As Is in conjunction with the group exhibition Drawings and Other Works on Paper. Cowin's work has been presented in over 30 solo exhibitions and in more than 300 group exhibitions. Cowin has received numerous awards, among them three Individual Artist Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, a commission from the Public Art Fund of New York City, a City of Los Angeles Individual Artist Fellowship, an Artist's Fellowship in New Genres from the California Arts Council, the California Community Foundation's Fellowship for Visual Artists and four commissions from Los Angeles World Airports. Cowin's work is included in major public and private collections including the J.Paul Getty Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, the National Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. She is currently working on a commission for the Martin Luther King Jr. Metro Station in Los Angeles.
